Beautiful oil painting on canvas, dating from the 18th century.
It is a rural scene in which two shepherds and animals are depicted. In this pastoral representation the attention is drawn to the courtship between the shepherd, crouched on a low wall, and the girl standing at his side. The composition is divided in half, on the left the romantic plot between the shepherds and on the right the animals waiting to be led to the pasture.
The work is repainted and in excellent state of conservation, as shown in photographs. Framed within coeval frame in gilded wood.
