Graceful oil painting on panel signed Carlo TERZOLO (1904-1975) on the lower right corner, representative artist of Piedmontese painting of the 20th century. Next to the signature is also the year of execution, dating back to 1943.
The work, entitled "Surroundings of Varenna", depicts a view of Lake Como. Two luxuriant trees stand out at the center of the composition, dividing the space symmetrically: on one side, on the right, there is the stretch of water with moored boats, while on the left there are houses.
Painted with soft and delicate colors, executed with small brushstrokes that create a very soft atmosphere.
In excellent state of conservation within a carved and gilded wooden frame, as shown in the photographs.
