Splendid pair of religious oil paintings on octagonal panel, dating back to the end of the 16th - beginning of the 17th century.
Although the entire life of Jesus has been represented over the centuries through works of art, there are some episodes that have inspired artists the most: the Crucifixion, the Deposition from the Cross, the Pietà, the Resurrection.
This couple portrays episodes of the Passion of Jesus that belong to the New Testament, in particular the painful journey of Jesus Christ as he sets out for the crucifixion on Golgotha.
The works are in excellent conservation conditions, as shown in the photographs, within gilded wooden frames.
